There are 50,000 available for sale.

Tickets are $100 each.
How did you come up with the figures regarding my chance of winning a prize?
There are 50,000 tickets available and 6,585 prizes to be won, which means that mathematically every ticket holder will have 1 in 8 chances to win!
How will I know if I have won?
The winners of the Hope More Lottery will be published online at hopemorelottery.com.au on Monday 6th May 2019.
All winners will also be notified in writing.
If I win a car/holiday, can I change it, or get cash instead?
Prizes are unable to be exchanged for cash or for other listed prize options.
How do I claim my prize?
If you’re one of the lucky 6,585 winners in the Hope More Lottery, you’ll receive a letter from Cancer Council WA providing details on how to claim your prize.
Can I claim this as a tax deduction?
Lottery ticket purchases are not tax deductible as they are not a donation.
Can I buy a ticket in two names?
No. We have to allocate the prize to one winner. Prizes will be awarded to the individual named on the official ticket.
Can people under 18 years old purchase a ticket?
Unfortunately no, people who purchase a ticket must be over 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be purchased under the name of, or for a minor.
Are the prizes in the Hope More Lottery donated?
Unfortunately, the prizes are not donated, although many suppliers have provided significant discounts. We have a great relationship with our suppliers and have worked together to negotiate an agreed competitive price with each of the prize partners.
How do you know your credit card and personal details are secure?
We take your privacy very seriously. Cancer Council WA adheres to the current privacy laws when it comes to any of your personal data. Your credit card details are not stored and are securely destroyed as soon as the transaction is processed.
Do you take Amex for payments?
Yes, we can accept Amex as well as Visa and MasterCard.
What programs does the money raised from the lottery fund?
Every Hope More Lottery ticket sold will help Cancer Council WA work towards a cancer-free future. To achieve this, we will:
- Increase the reach and impact of our cancer education and support services
- Increase our investment in cancer research
- Increase our advocacy work to ensure the Government takes action to reduce cancer in our community
- Continue to work to improve cancer outcomes for regional cancer patients through early detection and support services
When will the lottery be drawn?
The Hope More Lottery closes on Tuesday 30th April 2019 11:59PM AWST and will be drawn on Thursday 2nd May 2019 10:00AM AWST at Cancer Council WA Head Office, L1, 420 Bagot Rd, Subiaco 6008.
Who will be present at the Lottery draw?
The Cancer Council WA Executive will be present.
Early Bird FAQs
What is the Early Bird?
The Early Bird draw is for all ticket numbers purchased prior to the Early Bird close on 27th February 2019 11:59PM AWST. The Early Bird winner will receive a cash prize of $100,000. The winning Early Bird ticket will go back into the Bonus and Major Prize draws.
If I purchase my ticket early for the Early Bird prize, do I need to register or purchase again?
If you purchase your ticket within the Early Bird period, Wednesday 30th January 2019 8:00AM AWST to Wednesday 27th February 2019 11:59PM AWST, you don't have to register or purchase again. Being eligible for the Early Bird simply means that you've bought your ticket within the Early Bird period, which means you’re eligible for the $100,000 Early Bird cash prize as well as the Bonus and Major lottery draw!
If I’m the winner of the Early Bird Prize draw, when will I receive my prize?
Cancer Council WA will be in contact with you once you claim your prize and will deposit the funds within 30 days.
Bonus Prizes FAQs
What is the Bonus Prize?
There are three Bonus draw Prizes available for tickets purchased prior to 27th March 2019 11:59PM AWST.
The three Bonus Prizes will be drawn on 29th March 2019 10:00 AWST. Bonus draw winners are re-entered in the Major Prize draw.
What conditions are there if you win one of the Bonus Prize holidays?
Overseas travel prizes will be issued as travel vouchers from Luxury Escapes with a $10,000 cap on flights.
Prizes described are examples only with travel dates and destinations to be discussed with the travel agent. The winner may choose to travel to other destination(s), but will be liable for any additional costs.
These prizes are not redeemable for cash.
If I purchase my ticket early for the Bonus Prizes, do I need to register of purchase again?
If you purchase your ticket within the Bonus period you don’t have to register or purchase again. Being eligible for the Bonus draw simply means you’ve bought your ticket before the Bonus draw date which means you are eligible to win a bonus prize. You’ll also be re-entered in the draw for a chance to win a prize in the Major Prize draw.
If I’m the winner of one of the Bonus Prizes, when will I receive my prize?
Cancer Council WA will be in contact with you once you claim your prize and put you in contact with our suppliers to arrange collection of your prize.
Major Draw FAQs
When will the Major draw take place?
The final ticket sales will close on Tuesday 30th April 2019 11:59PM AWST and the Major draw will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2019 10:00AM AWST at the Cancer Council WA Head Office.
How are the prizes drawn?
All prizes will be drawn and issued in order from first prize to last.
What conditions are there if you win one of the holiday prizes?
Overseas travel prizes will be issued as travel vouchers from Flight Centre.
Domestic Holidays are provided by RAC Parks and Resorts and are issued as travel vouchers.
All travel prizes described are examples only, with travel dates and destinations to be discussed with the travel agent. The winner may choose to travel to other destination(s), but will be liable for any additional costs.
